Boconnoc, Cornwall, UK.
We are so excited to have the opportunity to bring A Nest of Gentle Makers once again to Boconnoc House. https://www.boconnoc.com/. This beautiful country house estate is the perfect place to relax in comfort whilst feeding your creativity. There will be creative workshops, walks, yoga, maybe some swimming and plenty of time to connect and chat. They will be intimate retreats of 8-11 guests. Each retreat is a half week (3 nights) and we will have different guest teachers for the two retreats so it would be completely possible (and rather wonderful) if you wished to join us for the whole week (6 nights).
The retreat attendees will each have a separate bedroom (or shared room if two friends wish to share). We will be using rooms in the main house and a cottage next to the main house. In the event of cancellation due to Covid-19 we will offer a full refund or the ability to come on a rescheduled retreat at Boconnoc.
Boconnoc house is a hidden treasure in Cornwall, SW England. Boconnoc Estate and Manor were taxed in the Domesday Roll in 1086 and has a long and fascinating history. It has provided accommodation for Prime Ministers and even a King and has been owned by the Fortescue family since 1864. Situated in one of the most picturesque locations in Cornwall, immersed in nature and resting on ancient energetic ley-lines, the tranquility of the house and grounds offer a unique and magical place for people to retreat and reconnect.
Attendees will be staying in the main house or the Groom’s Cottage. All of the rooms are large and comfortable but do vary in size. We will allocate rooms on a first come, first served basis. Book early and stay in the King’s Bedroom! Each person will have their own bedroom, unless you wish to share a twin room with a friend. Bedrooms have sumptuous duvets, crisp white linen and contemporary design. Relax in the fluffy bathrobes and enjoy the organic toiletries in the bathrooms.
The house sleeps a maximum of 19 guests and our retreat will be limited to 11 guests, so there will be plenty of space. Days will be spent making at our creative workshops and exploring the estate. There are footpaths and running routes in the hundreds of acres of private grounds. We may even manage a swim in the lake or the sea! Evenings you can curl up with a book in the library, chat in front of the fire or carry on with your creative projects.
We will have our resident yogi Kate on hand to guide us gently through our yoga practice. Whether it is energising yoga in the the morning to get our creative pulses racing, or slowing down with restorative yoga in the afternoon, Kate will make the most of this beautiful space to give you the best experience possible.
