How much does the retreat cost?
The cost of each retreat will depend on the venue and will be detailed on the individual retreat page. The cost includes accommodation, food, yoga and creative workshops. There will be a deposit on booking your place, with the balance of payment due 10 weeks before the retreat.
Where are the retreats held?
We are currently working with two retreat venues: Hazel Hill Wood near Salisbury for our June 2021 retreat https://hazelhill.org.uk/ and the Boconnoc estate in Cornwall for our October 2021 and July 2022 retreat https://www.boconnoc.com/
How do I book?
The best way to stay up to date with booking information is to sign up to our mailing list: https://anestofgentlemakers.co.uk/contact/
Once we have opened the retreats for booking you will need to complete your details on our booking form and pay your deposit via the payment page (not yet open).
What should I bring?
Our retreats are held in rural locations so please bring weather-appropriate clothing. Layers are a good idea, as is a waterproof! Walking in the woods can be quite wet underfoot so those interested in walking should bring suitable footwear. I would recommend wellies or walking boots. Those interested in doing yoga should bring appropriate clothing and a yoga mat if possible. For the Hazel Hill Wood retreat, the UK can get cold at night so warm nightwear is recommended. You might also like to bring a hat and gloves and maybe a blanket or a hot water bottle!
At Hazel Hill Wood, bedding will be provided but please bring towels. Towels will be provided at Boconnoc.
All materials for the classes will be provided. There may be a small charge payable direct to the teacher- please see the individual class information. If you have your own yoga mat, please do bring it but we will have some mats for those who do not have their own. It would be wise to bring an apron to protect your clothing when doing the creative classes. If you have an ongoing creative project such as knitting or sewing please do bring that and of course you might want to bring a good book to read, but the most important thing is to bring yourself along!
Is it possible to come for part of the retreat?
We are not offering any single day options as a key part of your relaxation is to be able to enjoy two or three nights in this beautiful setting. So we are just having a retreat rate. We understand that you may need to arrive later on the first day, or leave earlier on the final day and that is fine but it would be good if you could let us know so we can hold food for you if needed.
Are children allowed to attend?
For now, these retreats will only be for adults over 18. We may offer family retreats in the future but as we are just starting out we are keeping things simple. We would invite you to prioritise your well being as a parent and arrange childcare for the retreat and come and enjoy some quality time, just for you. On your return you will be feel so much better able to cope with the demands of the family. And if possible, bring your partner too!
Can I bring my dog?
As the retreats are held on working private estates, unfortunately we cannot welcome dogs or other animals on to the retreat.
